Establishment of Briggs Law
Jeff Briggs founded Briggs Law in January 2007 to provide effective and efficient legal services to businesses in and around the resurgent Hollywood district of Los Angeles. The area has been underserved by the legal profession; Jeff saw a need for the architects of Hollywood’s renaissance to have local representation.
Jeff Briggs has been rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbel (its highest rating for professional ability and ethics) since the first eligible for that rating in 1992. He is now rated “AV Preeminent.”
Jeff has been identified by his peers as a Southern California “Super Lawyer,” a recognition given only to 5% of all lawyers in Southern California, since that rating’s inception in 2004.
Since 2007, Jeff has been recognized by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America.
Jeff Briggs graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Minnesota in 1978, with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and Political Science. Jeff received his law degree cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 1981, where he served as note and comment editor of the Minnesota Law Review and provided legal assistance to state prisoners.
